Therapeutic Benefits:

1)  Exhibits Relaxing Effect Via The Muscle Spindle: Rapid Release may take advantage of the normal neurological response of the muscle spindle/Golgi Tendon Complex to reduce spasm. Hyperstimulation of this complex may relax a muscle that is involuntarily contracted (spasmed). Application of high velocity, low amplitude, percussion massage applied directly to a muscle or the attached tendon, may precipitate the relaxation response. Contrary to hypertonic, spasmed muscles, similar percussive vibrations may proved to enhance contractile strength, thereby increasing the effective power exerted by such muscles. Therefore, use of Rapid Release Pro 2 may have a net balancing effect for improving proprioception, muscle tone and normal neuro-muscular function regardless of whether the issue is known to be involuntary spasm (hypertonic contraction) or weakness (hypotonic muscle tone). Interesting to note is how the therapeutic waves travel through the tissue in such a way, that treatment need be only in the general vicinity of the problem to achieve favorable results. It is not important to find the exact spot to have the resonant waves from Rapid Release penetrate any area of concern.
