Listening to the CD There’s No Place Like Ohm and the Ohm Tuning Forks together produce a beautiful harmonic or “stereo effect.” While listening to the CD, place the forks on your body in specific places where there is tightness to relax the tension. Created without human voice, in the musical key of Ohm, this CD features instead the voices heard in nature through wind instruments and animals sounding. Relax as the mesmerizing wave of Ohm interconnects each natural sound and featured instrument: the heralding of the Armenian duduk, the beautifully haunting voice of the didgeridoo, the whisper of the Native American Flute, the cricket’s rhythm and the whale’s song. This beautiful earth tone is our musical center of gravity. Ohm is relaxing and energizing, a pure organic sound.

About the Artists

Biographies of the Artist:

Marjorie de Muynck: Accomplished musician and sound healer, Marjorie is a founder of the Acutonics® Sound Healing System and the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing. She also co-authored the book, “Acutonics: There’s No Place Like Ohm: Sound Healing, Oriental Medicine and the Cosmic Mysteries.” Marjorie taught Shiatsu, Hara Diagnosis, Kundalini Yoga, Reiki and Acutonics at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle. She also co-developed a healing treatment called “Harmonic Attunement”, which incorporates using cosmically tuned symphonic gongs, tuning forks, didgeridoos, Tibetan bowls and bells. A graduate of the Seattle Shiatsu Institute with an extensive background in Oriental Medicine, Marjorie also has done post-graduate studies in Musicology. She has been a performer and composer for dance, film and performance groups for over 30 years, and was an original member and founder of the Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet. A specialist in wind instruments, Marjorie performed Native American Flute on the Yoga Instructional Video “Strength and Spirit” with renowned yoga instructor Ana Forest.

Will Dowd Drummer/Percussionist: Will Dowd studied Jazz at the New England Conservatory of Music and the Berklee School of Music. He has performed with Amy Denio, The Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet, Global Village, Linda Waterfall and Orville Johnson. Will has toured Europe and Africa, and has performed on over 60 album projects and film scores. In addition to his work as a percussionist, Will has produced, recorded and engineered albums for various artists including Seattle based Shakuhachi flute master Peter Ross.
