TENS is thought to work in two ways. First, high frequency continuous, mild, electrical activity blocks the pain signal traveling to the brain. Brain cells perceive pain. If the pain signal does not get through to the brain, the pain is not felt. The second way is by stimulating the body's own natural pain-control mechanism. Low frequency or short bursts of mild electrical activity cause the body to release its own pain easers called beta endorphins. - How long will I have to use my iReliev device? There is no limit on how long or how often to use the iReliev device. Some people choose to wear it all day, and some for short periods of time to manage their pain. Some people use the device for short term (acute) injuries such as strains and sprains and others use the device for long-term (chronic) pain such as back pain that persists. There are no known long term side effects from using the unit and it is non-addicting.
- How long do the electrode pads last? The pads are long-lasting, but the amount of times that they can be used will vary based on how well they are taken care of, the skin-type of the person who is using them, and the environmental conditions. The typical person will get at least 2 weeks of use. When the pads do not stick anymore, they are to be thrown away and replaced with new pads. Product Features

- Low Battery Indicator: Symbol turns on when the battery voltage is low so there is no guess work involved in changing the batteries. Batteries last up to 150 Hours on average however this may vary greatly depending on if you use two output channels or only one channel for smaller body parts.
- Lock Out Safety Feature: Built in safety feature ensures you do not accidentally switch a setting or adjust the intensity. This can be initiated by holding the on/ Button and the same time as the off/- button. Pad lock icon will be displayed in Upper Center of LCD Screen.
