Prime filters before first use by running several cycles of water through the system. Replace BOROUX Foundation Filters every 12 months regardless of usage. How is the Compact different from the regular Legacy?

The Compact holds 1.8 gallons and is sized for smaller spaces. The full-size Legacy has a larger capacity and supports up to 4 filters.

Does it need plumbing?
