Our rubber "puck" style activator is great in providing a stable platform for activating your tuning forks. We especially recommend the puck style activator for weighted forks as they can provide an easier striking surface and will not damage your tuning fork

Make sure not to strike your tuning fork on any hard surface like a table or desk. Tapping on a hard surface can bring out overtones, which is not likely desirable and it damage the tuning forks.

We do not recommend tapping forks together to gain the frequency. Instead use our Puck activator to provide quality resonance with you fork.
