Tuning Fork Activator with Fork Storage | Rubber Puck with Center Hole

Strike it, then park the fork in it. The Tuning Fork Activator with Fork Storage is a firm rubber puck with a center hole, so the same block that gives your fork a clean, protective strike also holds it upright between uses. On a treatment cart that means the fork you reach for most is always standing ready, tines up, instead of rolling around a tray. The hard, durable rubber is ideal for weighted forks, which need a steady surface for a consistent, softly rounded tone.

About 3 by 2.8 by 0.9 inches. Works with every tuning fork we sell, weighted or unweighted.

$14.99

Hold the fork by the stem and tap one tine firmly against the flat rubber face. The rubber launches a clean vibration without the clack and stray overtones of a hard surface, so the fundamental rings clear. When you are done, slide the stem into the center hole and the fork stands upright until the next strike.

  • Firm rubber surface for a clean, consistent strike
  • Center hole stores one fork upright between uses
  • Protects the fork: no metal-on-metal, no hard-surface damage
  • Ideal for weighted forks
  • Compact block for a cart, desk, or bag

  • Strike the fork on the activator, never on a table, the knee, or another fork; hard surfaces add overtones and can crack a fork
  • A firm, short tap is enough; you do not need force
  • Keep away from small children

Why not strike the fork on my knee or a table?

Skin and bone are too soft for a clean strike and a knee can bruise or worse. A table or another fork is too hard: it adds unwanted overtones and can crack the fork over time. A rubber activator is firm enough for full energy and soft enough to protect the metal.

Weighted or unweighted forks?

Both. Weighted forks (used on the body) need a firmer, more stable surface, which is where a puck excels. Unweighted forks (used near the ears) activate easily on any rubber activator.

How many forks does it hold?

One. The center hole is sized for a single stem. For a full set, keep the forks in their pouch and use the hole for the one you are working with.
