528 Hz Wind Chime | Solfeggio MI Tone in 5 Octave Tubes

One frequency, five voices. The 528 Hz Wind Chime carries five slim aluminum tubes tuned to 528 Hz and its higher octaves, so every tube rings the same note at a different height. 528 Hz is the MI tone of the Solfeggio scale, the one most often chosen for meditation and heart-centered practice, and hearing it in octaves gives a bell-like clarity that a single tube can't match. Hung by a window or on a covered porch, it sounds in the lightest draft.

About 30 inches long with 1/2 inch tubes, the longest 16.5 inches, this is the small format: gentle enough for a bedroom or treatment room and light enough to hang almost anywhere.

Five hollow aluminum tubes are cut so the shortest rings at a high octave of 528 Hz and the longest at 528 Hz itself. Octaves share the same pitch class, so when the wind catcher moves and the striker sounds several tubes at once, the result is one note reinforced across octaves, a clear, unison shimmer rather than a chord.

528 Hz is MI in the Solfeggio scale, popularized in the 1990s by Dr. Joseph Puleo and paired in that tradition with transformation and renewal. What research supports: a single clear tone held in the room is an easy anchor for attention, and calm environmental sound lowers perceived stress.

Why 528 Hz?

528 Hz is the MI tone of the six-note Solfeggio scale, the frequency most people mean when they say "the Solfeggio frequency." In sound healing it is paired with transformation and renewal, and it is the single tone most often used in meditation tracks and tuning fork work. We also carry it as a 528 Hz tuning fork and a 528 Hz chime bar.

528 or 432?

Both are single-frequency small chimes of the same size. 528 Hz is higher and brighter; 432 Hz is a little lower and warmer. If you already work with Solfeggio forks, choose 528.

Can it stay outdoors year-round?

The aluminum pipes handle weather well. A covered spot protects the wood parts.
