Ionization Technology: It Alkalizes and Mineralizes
The Alkaline Ionizer Water Filter with Fluoride Reduction Pour-Through is the first pitcher-type water filter to alkalize, re-mineralize and reduce Fluoride from your tap water; using a patented formula of alkaline earth minerals, including calcium, magnesium and potassium. The filtration media raises the pH in drinking water between 9.0 to 10.0 while making delicious, bio-available water in every glass you drink.
The water is also charged with Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP), Antioxidant Hydroxyl Ions, which promote neutralization of free radicals that damage DNA. In simple terms, from a microbial perspective, the oxidizing process pulls electrons away from the cell membrane causing it to become destabilized or “leaky” and thus destroying its integrity.
Fluoride Reduction Technology
Fluoride reduction in the water is accomplished by incorporating the activated silica Alumina, a component that contains the same chemical substance as sapphire and rubies but without the coloration. This element of the filtration media has a very high surface area-to-weight ratio, extremely small pores, that promote high adsorption that reduces Fluoride by up to 80%.
Patented AquaSpace® Filtration Technology
To purify the water, the Fluoride-Alkaline Water Filter uses the patented AquaSpace® Carbon Formula from NASA technology that removes chlorine and a host of other contaminants. In 1995, this patented AquaSpace® carbon filtration media was tested by the National Testing Laboratories to NSF® standards 53 and 42 to remove lead and over 45 VOCs (volatile organic compounds) including pesticides, herbicides and industrial solvents. It also received California Certification and was awarded the gold seal of approval by the Water Quality Association.
