PF-2 elements thread onto the bottom of your Black Berkey® elements and sit in the lower chamber. As water exits the Black Berkey filters, it flows through the PF-2 media, which is designed to adsorb fluoride, arsenic, and heavy metal residues. The number of PF-2 elements in the lower chamber must match the number of Black Berkey® elements in the upper chamber.

Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements are post-filters that pair with Black Berkey® Purification Elements. They're designed to adsorb fluoride, arsenic, and other heavy metal residues from your filtered water.

How many do I need?

The number of PF-2 elements must match the number of Black Berkey® elements in your top chamber. For example, 4 Black Berkey elements require 4 PF-2 elements (2 sets).

How often do I replace them?

Replace each set of 2 after 1,000 gallons of use.

Are they safe to use?

Yes. The housing is made from BPA-free, non-leaching Polypropylene #5.
