Prime filters before first use by running several cycles of water through the system. Replace BOROUX Foundation Filters every 12 months regardless of usage. Clean stainless steel chambers monthly with warm water and dish soap — remove filters before cleaning. For fluoride reduction, add BOROUX Proactive Fluoride Filters (sold separately). Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.

Should I get 2 filters or 4?

Two filters suit most households (12 months per pair). Choose four for double the lifespan (24 months) and a faster flow rate.

Does it need plumbing or electricity?

No. It works by gravity — just fill and pour.

Can I add a fluoride filter?

Yes. The BOROUX Proactive™ Fluoride Add-On Filter is designed to attach inside the lower chamber for fluoride reduction.

How is this different from a Berkey?

Both are gravity-fed stainless steel systems. BOROUX uses its WQA-certified Foundation Filters and a different stainless steel design.
