The five notes the Harmonic chime leaves out. The Sharp Wind Chime carries five pipes tuned to the sharps of the just-intonation octave on C 256: C# 266.6, D# 300, F# 355.5, G# 400, and A# 444.4 Hz. On its own it rings bright and open, with wide intervals that never crowd each other. Hung beside our Harmonic Wind Chime, the two complete a full chromatic octave, so the pair can play any interval in the scale. Sound healers know these five notes from the Sharps tuning fork set, where they are used for the transitions between chakras.

About 48 inches long with 1 inch heat-treated aluminum pipes, a wood top and center that keep the pipes aligned, and a light wind catcher that sounds in a gentle breeze.

A chromatic octave has twelve notes. The Harmonic chime carries the seven natural notes plus the octave; this chime carries the five sharps between them, tuned on the same C 256 Hz base with Pythagorean and just-intonation ratios. When the wind catcher moves, the wooden striker sounds the pipes and you hear the wider, brighter intervals that the sharps make with each other.

The Sharps Sound Healing Wind Chime set is made from 5 tuned pipes. These are based on the Pythagorean or Just Scale. The Harmonic Spectrum Set is also based on this scale. The Sharps Set & the Harmonic Spectrum Set together make a complete octave in the Scale mentioned above. Their frequencies are derived from the Traditional Hindu Chakras
They are in the same middle octave with C being the root chakra, D the sacral charka and so on.

Do I need the Harmonic chime too?

No. The Sharp chime is complete on its own with a bright, open sound. The Harmonic Wind Chime is the natural partner if you want the full twelve-note octave across two chimes.

Why are the sharps sold separately?

Sound healing treats the natural notes and the sharps as two sets with different roles: the naturals map to the chakras, the sharps to the transitions between them. Keeping them on separate chimes lets you hang one, the other, or both.

Can it stay outdoors year-round?
